Beverley Film Society is a friendly membership-based, not-for-profit society for cinephiles in the Beverley area. Formed in 2006, our aim is to show a wide range of international and art house films once a month. Our season runs from September to June and we usually screen on the second Thursday of the month. Due to the nature of film licensing it is only open to members but they can bring guests.
All films are now shown here at the Parkway Cinema in the Flemingate Shopping Centre, Beverley. It is a couple of minutes walk from the railway station.
We hope that being a member of the film society offers more than simply watching films locally. We try to stay away from the mainstream, putting together a programme based on variety and critical acclaim rather than marketing and box office takings. We usually have a short introduction to the film beforehand. We always welcome views and suggestions from our members.
